Responsibility
This furniture design project was jointly conducted by the SCAD Furniture Department and BluDot and lasted 3 months.
-Conducted benchmark research to study the competitors in US modern furniture brands to identify the market trends and each brand’s pros and cons.
-Conducted primary research to understand the aesthetic preferences and usage habits of American consumers for modular home storages, determine user needs and design concepts, and submit the research report to the client.
-Based on BluDot's existing brand visual language and material availability, design a new generation of modular storage furniture. Be responsible for sketching, making scale prototypes, making a 1:1 final model, taking photographs and videos, and presenting to the client.
-The final design won the 2023 Rookie Design Award.
Digital Lab Technician

Worked as a technician in SCAD's Digital Lab, working 16 hours a week.
-Responsible for the daily processing of SCAD students' project orders, including 3D printing, laser cutting, and poster printing. Showing excellent adaptability and communication skills in a fast-paced work environment.
-Assisted the lab manager in maintaining laboratory equipment and managing inventory, ensuring the normal operation of the lab and controlling operating costs
-Provided professional support for design projects of students from different majors, including project planning, exploring processing technology and material, team communication, etc., to help students achieve academic success. Professionalism and enthusiasm were highly praised.

This SCADpro project worked for Protect&Gamble, developed new user experiences and branding strategies for Gillette, and a series of sub-brands targeting Gen Z and Gen A consumers.
-Worked as the lead researcher, developed the research plan and execution outline, led the research team to conduct secondary and primary research, understood target users' needs and pain points, clarified design principles and goals, and reported to other teams and clients.
-Communicated with the brand design team and redesigned a series of product packages based on the new brand visual system and marketing strategy to increase brand inclusivity and accessibility. Responsible for sketching, 3D modeling, prototyping, and high-fidelity model making.
-Designed, managed, and produced various printing materials and physical models based on the project reporting requirements at different stages, which significantly enhanced the professionalism of the presentation.
-The whole team's professionalism and excellent performance have been highly praised by the client.
Industrial Designer
Qijia E-commerce Co., Ltd.

Responsibility
Worked as an industrial designer for Qijia E-commerce Co., Ltd, responsible for designing and developing the company's first original Chinese-style nail polish.
-Independently responsible for designing a series of new packaging for nail polish, including glass bottle packaging, paper box packaging, and label stickers. Responsible for drawing sketches, making 1:1 draft models, making 3D modeling and renderings, and creating CAD documents. Communicated with the project manager during the design process and iterated the design based on feedback.
-Responsible for communication with engineers and suppliers. Followed up on mold development, process adjustment, and formal packaging production to ensure the product qualification rate was above 90%. The new packaging design of nail polish has been highly praised by consumers (more than 96%) and has obtained an appearance patent.
-Assisted the project manager in communicating with the inheritors of intangible cultural heritage to promote product development and increase brand exposure
